Meetings

Membership Meetings

Membership meetings are held in the months of September, October, November, February, March, and April. This is the time that the business of the chapter is conducted. Typically, a program that supports the mission of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) follows the business meeting. While the chapter does not hold membership meetings in December, January, May, June, July and August, the chapter officers may meet and social events may occur during these months.

Community Service

Community service projects occur at membership meetings and in the community. While they take place mainly in the fall and spring, the holidays are a popular time to give back.

One example is "Making Cards for the Troops" when chapter members create blank cards to be sent to men and women serving overseas. The recipients write messages on the cards and send them home to friends and family over the holidays.

Social Events

Members gather for coffee and enjoy luncheons throughout the seasons. The Maryland State Society hosts a holiday party in early December.
