Securing Education

Monacan Indian Nation

The Monacan Indian Nation is a federally recognized Indian tribe in Virginia. This recognition enables them to draw federal assistance, but their need exceeds federal and state assistance.  The Baltimore Chapter, NSDAR, supports the tribe by donating school supplies.

Araminta Freedom Initiative

The chapter educates members about the current issues that are important to today's women. One compelling issue is sex trafficking. With financial assistance and in-kind donations, the chapter supports the Araminta Freedom Initiative whose mission is, "to implement education and prevention strategies and provide clinic and support services to survivors of child sex trafficking."
